Make: [Live] on Tech and Craft
Talking Craft: magazine and the intersection of craft and technology, the cover project Bargello Blaze bag, board books on Computer Engineering, and the Instant 3D printing machine
Our Make: [Live] last month, hosted by Make: Editor in Chief Keith Hammond, featured as guests a number of contributors to our Tech Craft issue: Vol 97.

Here is a brief description of our guests.
Chase Roberts - Founder, Computer Engineering for Babies
Article: Computer Engineering for Babies
Bio: A computer engineer turned entrepreneur, he’s worked across the full stack, from designing circuit boards and writing microcontroller code to building iOS and web apps. But his most personal project started with his son Franklin, who as a baby was endlessly fascinated by light switches. That spark of cause-and-effect wonder inspired Computer Engineering for Babies, an interactive board book that makes foundational digital logic concepts approachable for the youngest minds. After years of prototyping and circuit board redesigns, the self-published book was successful, and Roberts followed it up with Computer Engineering for Big Babies.
Rich Bernett - Founder, The Sound of Machines
Project: Cassettone Tape Loop Synth
Bio: Rich Bernett is a Richmond, Virginia-based maker behind The Sound of Machines, where he designs and builds hands-on audio instruments using open hardware, found materials, and simple electronics. His work centers on making experimental sound tools approachable, repeatable, and easy for others to build and modify.
Charlyn Gonda - Founder, Charlyn Codes
Project: Bargello Blaze Bag
Bio: Charlyn Gonda is a coder by day, maker by night, from Alameda, California. She loves to create delightful, often glowy things that bring a bit of joy into the world.
Goli Mohammadi - Editor, Writer, Content Strategist, Documentation Specialist
Article: CRAFT magazine
Bio: After a decade at Maker Media, Goli Mohammadi has worked on various books, magazines, and technical documentation. When not fawning over perfect words, she can be found in nature, with her rescued senior dogs ambling alongside her.
Taylor Waddle - Pathways Engineer, NASA
Project: OpenCAL Instant 3D Printer
Bio: Taylor Waddle is a PhD Candidate at UC Berkeley and the co-founder of Drover Labs. He works to improve the condition of the planet and its people through innovation, design and creation. He is a proponent of space technologies/exploration, maker and explorer.
